Creating Sacred Space

Day 2: Creating Sacred Space – Prioritizing Time with God

We live in a fast-paced world where distractions constantly compete for our attention. From morning notifications to endless to-do lists, it’s easy for quiet time with God to become an afterthought. But if we truly desire to deepen our relationship with Him, we must be intentional about creating space for Him in our daily lives.

Why Prioritizing Time with God Matters

Imagine a close friendship where you only spoke to your friend once a week—or worse, only when you needed something. That relationship wouldn’t thrive. The same is true in our walk with God. He desires intimacy with us, but intimacy requires time and consistency. When we set aside time to be with Him, we open our hearts to His wisdom, peace, and love.

Overcoming the “Too Busy” Mindset

Many of us struggle with feeling too busy to spend time with God. But here’s the truth: We make time for what matters. Prioritizing our relationship with God doesn’t have to mean hours of Bible study each day. It starts with small, intentional choices.

Simple Ways to Create Sacred Space Daily:

1.Morning Moments with God – Before reaching for your phone, spend five minutes in prayer and Scripture. Let God’s voice be the first you hear.

2.Worship While You Work – Play worship music while driving, cooking, or doing chores. Let it turn your daily tasks into moments of connection with Him.

3.Pray Throughout the Day – Short, simple prayers keep your heart aligned with God. Whisper gratitude, ask for guidance, or simply say, “Lord, I trust You.”

4.Evening Reflection – Before bed, reflect on your day. Where did you see God at work? Thank Him for His presence and surrender your worries to Him.

A Practical Challenge for

Choose one way to prioritize time with God today. It doesn’t have to be perfect—just intentional. Maybe it’s setting an alarm for five minutes of prayer, reading a Psalm before bed, or journaling your thoughts to God. Small, consistent steps will transform your spiritual life.

Scripture to Meditate On:

“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

God isn’t waiting for perfection—He’s waiting for your presence. When we create space for Him, we experience the depth of His love in ways we never imagined.
